Our Success with SUPERCUTS is Built on Lasting Relationships!

In 2013 we provided fixtures for approximately 40 new Supercuts salons as well as items needed for repair, replacement, or expansion of existing salons for the Supercuts brand. Our pricing reflects the total volume done by the Franchisees with Great Spaces USA.
We have been a licensed General Contractor since1977, and did the entire build- out of the original prototype salon for the “Egg Plant” design back in 1987. We have even supplied 2 additional designs for that same location since then. We built new, and remodeled over 40 Supercuts salons in the late 80’s before deciding to focus solely on retail fixture manufacturing. Our Contracting experience dating back to the late 70’s gives us valuable insights into the entire build-out process and greatly improves the engineering and design of our products as it relates to streamlining installation and coordination with the other trades in a project.
While Supercuts is our oldest fixture customer, we have supplied fixtures for thousands of retail, service, and casework projects including Verizon Wireless, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Saks, L’Oreal, Restoration Hardware, and Briggs & Riley to name a few of our other current customers. In addition, we have completed hundreds of Banks, Medical, Dental and Office projects. We supplied fixtures to Regis Corporate for over 250 salons between 1999 and 2003. We really try to take as much responsibility as possible with the owners during the pre-order and construction stages. As a result, we can bring our over 40 years of experience to bear on these projects, and are constantly looking for problems, oversights, or opportunities in planning or managing the build-out and fixture installation process.

Over the years we have worked out a system with the Franchisees. This system allows us to supply, package, and ship our fixtures to a GC, and allows them to receive and install the salon in the most economical way possible. We have squeezed the air out of this process, eliminating the need for expensive blanket wrapped delivery, or storage and re-delivery services. This shortens the time, and lowers the cost. It also reduces the number of people involved, and the hours of owner management normally required to get this done.
Superior packaging allows the use of lower cost shipping arrangements for longer runs, while reducing the amount of over the road time to 3 or 4 days even to the East Coast. Our trucking partners are also willing to make early or late appointments with the GC to deal with tight schedules or even tighter unloading requirements. Within California, we can deliver on our own trucks so “next day” delivery is the norm. Again, early or late appointments are easy. Because we pre-pack most of the individual items, the contractor can store them onsite while they are being installed, and has very little risk of damage. Products that are shipped in blankets are often damaged onsite after the delivery, while being moved or stored by the installer. We have tried to mitigate this risk. We build a very good product. We were originally asked to build with a 5 to 7 year life span, but We know some of our products have lasted 2 to 3 times longer and are still in good shape when they have finally been removed and replaced. We know the retail commitment is to change, to keep the salons fresh and up to date. The lowest cost way of doing that, is to build products that look great and will hold up to rigorous use over time. It has a small upfront cost, but pays off big in the last few years of a shop’s life when premature failure adds up to lost sales or early remodels. These are just some of the ways we STRIVE to reduce the TOTAL OWNERSHIP cost for fixtures. |
